and well being
Shiatsu originally comes from Japan and is based on the theoretical principles of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM). In Europe a therapeutic Shiatsu has developed, which is an effective and complementary form of treatment for a variety of ailments and diseases. The aim of a Shiatsu treatment is to balance energetic patterns, to release blockages and to strengthen the self-healing and to develop mental powers of the human being.
Moxibustion is a targeted heat treatment of the acupuncture points on the skin. The indirect application of burning mugwort removes cold and moisture from the body surface, the meridians and the organs. The positive effect of moxibustion on humans goes far beyond the healing possibilities of a mere heat treatment. Moxibustion has a tradition going back thousands of years and is part of classical TCM.
Cupping is a well-known, draining healing method and pursues the goal of releasing blockages and states of fullness and in this way activating the energy flow. The energy state of the organs is raised, the vegetative functions are regulated, the blood circulation is stimulated and the resistance and well-being increase. Even bioclimatic factors that cause illness – such as a cold or asthma – can be discharged from the body.
Shiatsu in the Zug and Lucerne area
Stimulating the life force, balancing body and soul, feeling the flow of energy … there is an effective way to do this: care and touch. Shiatsu touches attentively and respectfully, deeply and sensitively. Shiatsu has a balancing, calming or even invigorating effect. It relaxes and stimulates the self-healing powers of body, mind and soul. Shiatsu works in depth – the heart becomes lighter and the head freer.
Shiatsu is a wonderful way to feel yourself and come to yourself in the security and peace of the treatment. The special quality of the Shiatsu treatment gives people support, they feel carried.
Shiatsu promotes well-being, joy of life and performance. It also supports people in change processes and initiates growth. Shiatsu is a path to a relaxed, active and healthy lifestyle.
How is Shiatsu practiced?
In Shiatsu, the client lies in comfortable clothing on a soft futon mat on the floor or on a massage table. With relaxed and deep touches as well as stretching and rotating movements, the life energy is stimulated so that it can flow harmoniously and find its natural balance. Shiatsu is suitable for people in all circumstances and at all ages, including children and babies.
A regular treatment rhythm over a longer period of time can be useful to support processes and bring about lasting changes.
With which complaints does Shiatsu help?
In the therapeutic field of application Shiatsu is aimed at people who wish to actively integrate physical and energetic impulses into their recovery process. From the energetic regulation ability – which is inherent in everybody – the following complaints and disease patterns, for example, can dissolve.
The list is not exhaustive:
- headaches, migraines
- neck, back or shoulder pain
- Nervousness and restlessness
- Digestive disorders
- for stress reduction and relaxation in case of overload
- Burnout, depression, anxiety
- Eating disorders
- for menstrual and menopausal problems
- for holistic support during pregnancy or postnatal care
Shiatsu is a recognised method of complementary therapy and can be used to treat medical or psychological complaints in addition to medical treatment, but it cannot replace it.
